Empowering voices: introducing ‘The Inclusive Speaker’ and its premiere at axe-con
Some of you may already have seen some of this over social media earlier today, especially on LinkedIn and on Facebook, but today is a big day for me, and I’d like to tell you all about it. So many stories to tell, so many memories to share, so many anecdotes to quite frankly edit, just so this remains a “suitable for work” space.
Yup, so, I am absolutely thrilled to announce that today marks a monumental day in my life — the launch of my very first book! “Writing a book” had been sitting at the top of my bucket list for as long as I can remember, so this is a really big deal for me. Yes, I’ve been talking about it for a little while, and I know that some of you have been keeping tabs on the progress, and for that I really want to say “thank you”. But some of you might not know yet. I’d like to change that!
As anyone who’s written a book knows, when you’re deep into the weeds and you can’t quite figure out how you’ve ever going to pull yourself out of the rabbit hole you just dug yourself into, these small words of encouragement and appreciation make a big difference. As I’ve mentioned before, this journey has been nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster, spanning five years of hard work, self-doubt, and perseverance.
